The results for Maharashtra Health Sciences Common Entrance Test (MH-CET 2015) were announced by the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) on Friday at 6pm. Out of the 1.94 lakh students registered this year, 1.89 lakh appeared for the exam — 84,929 boys and 1,04,121 girls. The overall pass percentage of Maharashtra is 20.8% this year.

The state topper is Harshitha Shetty from Pune (199/200), second ranker is Amit Dasputra from Nagpur (198/200), while third ranker is Afrid Jaipuri from Akola (197/200) and fourth is Mumbai boy Tanmay Borade (197/200).
Tanmay is the city topper.
A resident of Malad and student of Prakash College in Kandivli, Tanmay said, "My mother and my elder sister have been my pillars. My goal was to get admission in a government medical college, not private, as one gets to learn a lot in a government medical college." His father Dr Suresh Borade, a general practitioner, passed away in 2009.
From Vidarbha, 37,315 candidates appeared, out of which 10,239 cleared the test, with the pass percentage being 27.44. In Marathwada, 41,331 candidates appeared and 9,400 cleared, with a pass percentage of 20.80.
